To ensure that the least amount of person to person contact is occurring as our children arrive at school, children will be dropped off outside of their their classrooms, only parents or primary guardians will be permitted to drop off and pick up, and children will be required to wash hands before entering the building. Drop Off times are: 7-9am at Higgins and 8-9am at Lullwood. Pick Up times are 2-4pm at Higgins and 3-5pm at Lullwood. The Drop Off location at Higgins will be outside of the normal entrance area near the Activity Center. The Drop Off location for Lullwood will bet outside the main entrance.
Upon arrival at both of Brighton’s Preschool Centers, parents and children will have their temperature checked. Any temperature over 100 degrees from either parent or child, the child will not be permitted to attend. To return, a child must be fever free for 72 hours. In addition, parents will be asked to complete a health survey everyday upon drop off.
Brighton is slowly easing back into full operations and will be following a modified schedule as we continue to monitor the COVID-19 virus and hopefully its steadily decline. Until further notice, Brighton’s Higgins Preschool location will be open from 7am – 4pm and the Lullwood location will be open from 8am to 5pm.
Your child’s teacher will be required to do many new things to ensure the safety of the children in the classroom. Some of these new protocols include, wearing gloves and masks as often as possible, staying with the same children each day, not using any common spaces on Brighton’s campuses, and not leaving the campus for lunch.
Inside the Classroom, children can expect to have all meals be served individually wrapped. If a child brings a meal from home it will be required to be labeled, sealed and in disposable packaging. All children will be provided with nap sheets and blankets that will be laundered daily and children will nap a minimum 6′ apart. In addition, each classroom will be limited to no more than 10 people.
