Brighton Center funded by Valero amid Valero Texas Open Cancellation

Valero Energy Corporation

Brighton was honored to be one of 53 local charities that received funding from Valero despite the Valero Texas Open cancellation, a major golf tournament that redistributes all of their earning back into the San Antonio Community. These funds will go directly to supporting Brighton’s Special Education Support Services program, a program that is committed to teaching parents about special education laws and serving as education advocates for children in the special education system. “Brighton’s Special Education Services program is 100% funded by community support and the Valero Texas Open is always one of our largest supporters of this program. We weren’t sure what this year’s contribution would look like given the pandemic and the golf tournament cancellation. We are so humbled by the commitment of Valero and their partners to still contribute to not just our non-profit but so many others despite the cancellation. These funds will go a long way to ensuring that children who receive special education services, especially as we face an unprecedented school year, have access to our advocate team and get the services and resources they need to be successful in school! – Katrina Campbell, Chief Development Officer
