"We cannot begin to tell you what a WONDERFUL job these 5 people (angels in my book) do with Chad.  Without them, we would be years behind in his progress.  They take the time to explain to us, work with us (put up with me) and are so good and kind and patient with Chad.  My family and I wanted to express our sincere gratitude to, not only the program, but to these wonderful people that God has put in Chad and our lives."

“When our son was born with Down syndrome, at first our world was turned upside down. Our Brighton team came in and immediately made us feel normal, like everything was going to be okay. It was exactly what we needed”

-Autumn, Caius' Mom

A little over a year ago my wife and I had issues with our son Nicholas and his verbal skills. Our typical day would consist of Nicholas crying 60 percent of the time. He was almost two yrs old and he could only say a hand full of words. I was a little less concerned then my wife as my oldest son also used ECI services for his speech delay. He (our older son) is now active in four sports and is in the GT program. With Nicholas came a new challenge. Nicholas was hyperactive and when we could not understand him he would act out and cry uncontrollable. Enter Brighton. Yasmine started her sessions when Nicholas was close to two yrs of age. In the following weeks I could see Nicholas changing and adapting to the sessions. As the weeks turned to months Nicholas was a new kid. He was less hyper and started to understand responsibility (clean up time and putting one toy away before getting another). Nicholas has always favored his mother and would cling to her but with Yasmine, he started getting away from that in a good way. He would look forward to Yasmine's visits and would get disappointed when he would get sick and there could not be a visit. When I would witness the sessions late into the program, it was hard to tell that Yasmine was performing a job. What I noticed later was that Nicholas also adapted to Lynette and Susan. He was like a sponge when they would come around. Nicholas now uses three or four word sentences and he  communicates well with others. He uses his energy in positive ways and is a lot less destructive. He still needs a little more polishing but what kid doesn’t. One thing I remember Yasmine and the other two tell me is that Nicholas could use his activeness in a positive way and if so would blossom and that fact was proven. Every goal was met and every concern was addressed by the exemplarily work of Yasmine, Susan, and Lynette. This was not an over night task but a methodical and well planned program that could not have been made possible without the hard work, dedication and devotion that Yasmine, Susan and Lynette displayed. In closing, I would like to add, that prior to writing this email, I was on the PHONE with Nicholas having a CONVERSATION about our day. Yeahhhhhhh!  Thank you Brighton from my wife and I.
