Are you concerned about your child's behavior? Is your baby having difficulty learning to sit up, walk, talk? ECI supports families of infants and toddlers birth to 36 months through education, family support, and learning activities. ECI has baby and toddler specialists in every area of child development. Your local ECI program will answer your questions and set up a free screening.
What is a screening?
A screening is:
a check to see if your child is learning important skills and is on target.
a chance to see if your child is developing like other children his age.
a chance to talk to someone about your child's skills.
How do I find ECI?
To find the number of the ECI program in your area, call 1-800-628-5115.
If you have a hearing impairment, call the TDD/TTY Line at 1-866-581-9328.
To search online, visit the DARS/ECI website at www.dars.state.tx.us/ecis. The state agency responsible for ECI is the Department of Assistive and Rehabilitative Services (DARS). DARS contracts with local agencies to provide services in every Texas county.
