What is a screening?
A screening is:
 a check to see if your child is learning important skills and is on target. a chance to see if your child is developing like other children his age. a chance to talk to someone about your child's skills. How do I find ECI?
To find the number of the ECI program in your area, call 1-800-628-5115. If you have a hearing impairment, call the TDD/TTY Line at 1-866-581-9328. To search online, visit the DARS/ECI website at www.dars.state.tx.us/ecis. The state agency responsible for ECI is the Department of Assistive and Rehabilitative Services (DARS).
