Bright Beginnings, a learning center for children with and without disabilities in San Antonio area, provides programs that teach acceptance of all people in an environment that helps each child reach their individual potential.

Bright Beginnings

Program Philosophy

At Bright Beginnings we believe in the acceptance of all children, empowering them to achieve their individual potential.  Bright Beginnings provides children with and without disabilities with and inclusive environment where they can learn, not only through social interactions with peers, but in a supportive, nurturing, developmentally appropriate environment based on their age and individual developmental needs.  At Bright Beginnings we believe children learn best through play. Because of this, we offer our children a developmentally appropriate emergent curriculum designed to meet the needs and interests of each individual child based on his/her developmental level.  This curriculum provides opportunities to enhance all areas of children’s development such as cognitive, language, social, emotional, physical, and creativity through an array of positive learning experiences in an educational, hands-on learning environment.

Eligibility Criteria

All children with and without disabilities or delays from 6 weeks of age through age five are eligible to enroll in Bright Beginnings.

Our meals are served family style which provides children the opportunity to serve themselves. Mealtime provides an environment where children can practice social skills and enhance communication (such as taking turns, passing food to others, saying please and thank you). Teachers also talk with the children about their foods and proper nutrition.
