Bright Beginnings, a learning center for children with and without disabilities in San Antonio area, provides programs that teach acceptance of all people in an environment that helps each child reach their individual potential.

Our Program/Overview

In order to provide the highest quality early childhood education, we maintain a low classroom ratio to ensure that your child will receive individualized care. Our staff play with the children to facilitate learning opportunities in structured activities, encouraging further exploration and creativity. We offer a curriculum that meets the needs of each child based on his/her developmental level. Bright Beginnings offers classes grouped by age and development, encouraging social development with peers.

Eligibility Criteria

All children with and without disabilities or delays from 6 weeks of age through age five are eligible to enroll in Bright Beginnings.

As a provider under the Child and Adult Care Food Program, our breakfast, lunch and afternoon snacks all meet the nutritional guidelines set by the federal government. Our meals are served family style which provides children the opportunity to serve themselves. Mealtime provides an environment where children can practice social skills and enhance communication (such as taking turns, passing food to others, saying please and thank you). Teachers also talk with the children about their foods and proper nutrition.

We provide training above state mandated guidelines that include topics such as classroom management, child development, sensory integration and more which provide knowledge of the most up-to-date strategies in supporting children with and without disabilities. We are proud to have teachers who have received various levels of certification and degrees including Bachelor Degree, Child Development Associates Degree, Child Development Associate Certification and current Teaching Certification.

 

Hours of Operation & Location

Bright Beginnings is open Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 6:00pm and located in Brighton Center's main office at 14207 Higgins Road, San Antonio, Texas 78217.
